Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born November 18 on the 18th of November located in Los Angeles. Felix's father Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley as well as her mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix's talent for athletics was apparent from the time she enrolled at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She came second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in only 10 weeks after her first trial. In 2003 Felix completed her high school graduation having signed a professional contract with the sports company Adidas and then enrolled at the University of Southern California where she studied elementary school. One year later Felix earned the first Olympic medal during the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece making a junior world record by running 200 meters within 22.18 seconds. She became the youngest World Champion in the 200m at the Helsinki World Championships. She won the title again in 2007 by defeating her long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix has consistently placed among the top 3 athletes across her diverse events during the Olympics which took place at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
